Last month the American Transportation Research Institute released the top five issues expressed by industry professionals:

    3. Lawsuit Abuse Reform
    4. Insurance Cost and Availability
    5. Driver Compensation

With over 3,700 stakeholders participating in this year’s survey across motor carriers, drivers, supplies and law enforcement, this report is a great tool for gauging where our industry is headed.

For 20 years, the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) Top Industry Issues report has guided understanding of the most impactful challenges that face the American supply chain. ATRI’s analysis has been utilized by the American Trucking Associations (ATA) and its federation partners in the 50 State Trucking Associations (STA) to advocate for trucking-favorable policies. This annual report is also utilized by federal and state Departments of Transportation (DOTs) to better inform decision making, by motor carriers to monitor driver concerns, and by industry suppliers to develop new market resources.
