For many professional drivers, a four-legged co-pilot makes life on the road a little brighter. Pets can provide companionship during long trips, help reduce stress, and make time away from home a little easier.

If you’re traveling with a pet, remember to plan for their safety, too. Secure them appropriately while the vehicle is in motion, schedule regular breaks for exercise and hydration, never leave them unattended in extreme temperatures, and keep identification and vaccination records readily available.
